Skincare Clinic in London: What to Look For

As there are so many skincare clinics to choose from in London and across the UK, we’re sure it feels a bit overwhelming to choose the right one for you.
As a team of doctors and practitioners, there are a lot of factors that we’d personally consider, from the expertise of the team itself through to the equipment. Because of this, we thought we’d put together a skincare clinic guide so you can find the best option for you.
What to look for with a luxury skin clinic
Although the space is important, we’d prioritise trust and expertise so you know your skin is being cared for properly. We’ve seen a lot of patients in the aesthetics space prioritise an ‘aesthetic clinic’ over credentials, and in the aesthetics and skincare space we’d recommend the team and their experience over anything else.
Here’s our essential checklist for you, so you can find the right clinic:
Expert led care
Dr Jonny Betteridge is one of the most well known aesthetics doctors in London, and every member of the team is either an NHS doctor who has personally worked with Dr Jonny, or a skincare specialist.
Abbi - our resident skincare practitioner, was both Dr Jonny’s and Jonny’s mother’s skincare practitioner before joining the team, which shows the level of trust we have in each and every team member around us.
Because of this, we’d advise you look for clinics that have high levels of expertise - who have had years of specific training. There are very little regulations in the UK which means some ‘skincare professionals’ have little to no experience, which is why we wanted to flag this first.
Advanced skin analysis
Being able to see the technology the clinic is using - so they can look beyond the naked eye, is a good sign. We use the OBSERV 520X which allows us to see multiple layers of your skin - and as the very first layer of your skin only tells us so much about your skin health, this is something we’d recommend you look for.
Personalised skincare plans

Once your skin has been thoroughly looked at, we can then create a personalised skincare pathway which will help us achieve your skincare goals and looking for a clinic which completely personalises their plans is also what we’d recommend.
Skincare shouldn’t be one size fits all, and whether you go to a skincare clinic with concerns like acne, rosacea, pigmentation or scarring through to talking through the early signs of ageing, personalising every step is so incredibly important.
Excellent reviews
Reading about other people’s experiences would also be one of our priorities, so you can hear first hand experiences about the doctors and specialists at the clinic. We’re really proud of our 5 star Google rating, if you would like to give our reviews a read.
The location is important too
How accessible is the clinic you’re looking at? Is it somewhere you’d visit anyway - or is it somewhere completely out the way?
We love being just around the corner from Selfridges (our lunchtime shopping visits - sorted) and we have several tube line options too - we’re a 7 minute walk away from Marble Arch Station and a 13 minute walk from Oxford Circus.
